Position Summary
Build a rewarding career that supports scholarships, research, and university initiatives through fundraising for the UCLA School of Dentistry. The UCLA School of Dentistry was established in 1964 in response to the need for a public school of dentistry in the greater Los Angeles area. Since its inception, the School has focused on achieving and maintaining excellence in four main areas: a comprehensive dental education, leading-edge research, quality patient care and public service. This position supports the Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations, and is a great opportunity to learn about fundraising and develop your career goals through our training, mentoring, and professional development programs. 

Primary Responsibilities
As a Fundraising/Alumni Relations Coordinator, you will build meaningful relationships with donors, alumni and colleagues by assisting with event and travel planning, scheduling meetings, drafting correspondence, responding to inquiries, and managing information. Qualifications
1. Ability to learn and deliver customer service skills such as interacting in a friendly, professional manner and responding quickly and appropriately to requests. 

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3. Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, be resourceful and make decisions.  

4. Ability to research, gather, analyze, and synthesize information from sources such as online searches, databases and files.  

5. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. 

6. Ability to work as part of a team, be detail oriented, organized and meet deadlines. 

7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion.

8. Proficiency with business software such as Google docs, Google forms, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and databases. 

9. Must be able maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule including ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as needed.
