Position Summary
If you are highly organized, detail-oriented and want your work to make an impact, start or further your career as a Stewardship and Communications Coordinator within the Health Sciences Development (HSD) fundraising team. You will be part of a vibrant, creative group in a supportive environment that is committed to providing the highest level of care and engagement to our donors. The magnitude and impact of our donor engagement is broad and deep and requires a highly collaborative and purposeful team to build and sustain an extremely effective donor engagement program. As a Stewardship and Communications Coordinator, this is an entry-level position where you can build your career through our training, mentoring and professional development programs.  

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for providing support for a broad range of duties that assist our efforts to acknowledge donors and to demonstrate the impact of their giving. You will draft and edit correspondence and other stewardship and communications materials, create and analyze reports, compile and distribute information, assist with event planning, and conduct research by using tools like databases, Outlook, Word, Google Docs and Excel. You will be an integral part in organizing and maintaining the systems and processes essential to our stewardship and communications activities and office. In addition, you will also assist with special projects to expand your level of knowledge and involvement in our work. As part of your role, you will serve as a liaison to our team and will interact with donors, volunteers, faculty, students and staff, which will enable you to hone your skills in delivering a superb customer service approach that develops and upholds lasting relationships to meet the goals of Health Sciences Development. 



Qualifications
1. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and/or graphic design is preferred.

2. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.

3. Ability to learn and deliver customer service skills such as interacting in a friendly, professional manner and responding quickly and appropriately to requests. 

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

5. Ability to exercise independent judgment, take initiative, be resourceful and make decisions.  

6. Ability to research, gather, analyze and synthesize information from sources such as online searches, databases and files.  

7. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. 

8. Ability to work as part of a team, be detail oriented, organized and meet deadlines. 

9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion.

10. Proficiency with business software such as Google docs, Google forms, Word, Excel, Outlook and databases. 

11. Ability to coordinate special events.

12. Must be able to maintain a reliable and predictable work schedule including ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends.
